Welcome to Year 4. As the children approach the middle of their journey through KS2, the curriculum continues to build on those foundational skills that they have been developing so far, while also introducing many new, bigger concepts. Lessons are different every day but will usually include the key primary learning areas of Reading, Writing and Maths. Children will also learn about: 

• different world religions; 
• how to play instruments and make music in groups; 
• how our world works and why we need to take care of it; 
• local and global history and how it affects us; 
• computing skills such as coding and using ICT; 
• how to play different sports and stay healthy; 
• analysing and creating different kinds of artwork; 
• speaking a foreign language.
